Account Manager

(Freelance With Potential For Hire)

This is our mid-level account management position, which is seen as the leader of "day-to-day" operations, responsible for building strong client and agency relationships based on mutual trust and respect. Candidates need to be results-oriented, strategic and creative thinkers; team players, problem-solvers, and effective jugglers, with strong writing and presentation skills that can be demonstrated via past successes. Qualified candidates must have a college degree and 3-10 years of ad agency experience. Healthcare experience is a plus.

Media Buyer

Ever been told you could talk an Eskimo wearing white gloves in to eating a ketchup Popsicle? Perhaps you should A) reassess your weekend hangout spot or B) consider a great career opportunity with SPM! As a local media buyer you will be part of a media team that plans and executes strategically creative, effective, and efficient broadcast plans for your clients across the U.S.  Can you handle the responsibility of managing multiple clients and markets in a fast paced, dynamic environment? Do you have at least 5 years broadcast (TV and Radio) buying experience in local markets with exceptional negotiating, organization, and multitasking skills? Have proficiency with SmartPlus, Word and Excel, and a great appreciation for “the art of the deal”? If your head was nodding for all of the above, we want you. Kudos worthy, but not essential skills include having a background in planning as well as digital and print buying experience. Keep in mind you will be asked to travel to out-of-state clients on a limited basis.

Art Director

You are a creative dabbler – idea maker – multiple hat wearer – go-getter. You will work with a copywriter partner (do you already have one?) and have the opportunity to work for multiple account teams under the direction of Senior Creative Directors. This is a great opportunity to work on everything from concept development to TV production to print execution to interactive initiatives. We are a nationally recognized healthcare ad agency with clients all across the US. To join us, you must have a background in interactive design and web initiatives. You must also have a strong background in traditional print and collateral design/production. We will consider college grads and those with 1-5 years of experience. Digital experience and TV production experience a major plus. Healthcare experience also a plus, but not required.

Copywriter

You ooze ideas and have the ability to see them through. You are a natural wordsmith who is a master of many styles. You take your work seriously, but can smile at yourself. You are curious, aware of what's going on in the world. You will work with an art director partner (do you already have one?) for multiple account teams under the direction of Senior Creative Directors. This is a great opportunity to work on everything from concept development to TV production to print execution to interactive initiatives. We are a nationally recognized healthcare ad agency with clients all across the US. We will consider college grads and those with 1-5 years of experience, but a terrific book is really the key. Show us work in all mediums including digital, TV, radio, print, out-of-home, and social media.

Production Artist

(Freelance Position)
Various production tasks are needed for healthcare related print work. Web design skills/Flash would be beneficial as we do animated web banners to coincide with print campaigns. Full working knowledge of offset printing and preparing files for press are a must. Knowledge of color correction and retouching would be helpful, but not necessary. Mocking up 2-dimensional as well as 3-dimensional creative pieces is required. Clean and neat boarding of final creative for client presentation a must. Quick and accurate resizing of ads and billboards for final publication insertions. All print layouts will be created in InDesign unless specified differently from vendor.

Below is a list of a required application you must be proficient in.
• Quark (most all of our clients are in InDesign, but older client files are in Quark)
• InDesign CS4
• Illustrator CS4
• Photoshop CS4
• Acrobat Professional
• Flightcheck – file collect app (if no working knowledge, we’ll show you how to use)
